This traditional, subtle tasting blue cheese from Dorset is made with hand-skimmed milk, giving it a lower fat content and a slight tendency to crumble. Brilliant when served with Paxton & Whitfield Cornish Buttermilk Biscuits.
Made by one of Rick Stein’s food heroes, Mike Davies of Woodbridge Farm (near Sturminster Newton).
Dorset Blue Vinny was awarded a ‘GOLD’ award at the World Cheese Awards and won ‘Best Blue’ & ‘People’s Choice’ at the Great British Cheese Awards.
In 1998, Woodbridge Farm were the first food producer to be awarded PGI (Protected Geographical Indication) status and are the only producers of Dorset Blue Vinny.
