George Adams is a well-established butcher in Spalding, Lincolnshire. In 1910, George started the business serving the people of the town with quality meats and handmade pork pies from his new butcher’s shop and they continue to serve these quality products from the very same premises today.
His hand raised pork pies soon gained a wide reputation beyond Lincolnshire and this traditional process is still followed today. Growing consumer demand led the company to become a large-scale food manufacturer focusing on pies, sausages and cooked meats
In 1957 a modern factory was built behind the shop in The Crescent, the remains of which are still there today
In the 1970’s, supermarkets gained a foothold in the High Street, so the company concentrated on manufacture and distribution, a decision that proved crucial to today’s success. The current owners purchased the business in 2021 and have exciting plans for the George Adams 1910 brand.
