An important message regarding your orders and delivery during this time.

We would like to thank all of our valued customers for their custom and support. Please be assured that both ourselves and our brilliant producers are doing all we can to work as efficiently as possible in these testing times, and we are very pleased to be able to still provide a service for you.

At British Fine Foods we have seen a huge increase in orders, and as a result wanted to communicate to our customers about a few important things:

Stock Availability
Some of our suppliers are understandably finding it challenging to provide the increased demand.  We are trying hard to ensure that there is plenty of variety on offer, and if an item is unavailable we will substitute it with an item that is the most similar in flavour and cost. We will refund you if the item it is replaced with is of less value.

Delivery date Requests
We will do all we can to deliver on your requested date however please be advised that we can not guarantee this, and will confirm a delivery date with you by email.

Courier Delivery Time Slots
Parcel Force are not able to guarantee timed deliveries at this present time. Please be aware that our packaging keeps food chilled for a minimum of 36hrs from despatch.

Customer Service
Our phone lines are very busy, and as we have skeleton staff in the office and warehouse, we would kindly request that you email us with any questions regarding your order at and staff who are working remotely will reply as quickly as possible.

Our Chilled Packaging

We deliver the best British artisan produce fresh and chilled to your door.  To ensure your order arrives in optimum condition, all fresh food is sent in temperature-controlled boxes with ice packs.  

Delivery date request:

If you would like to request a delivery date, please do so in the checkout process and we will confirm this delivery with you by email.  To ensure you receive the best quality, we order stock fresh from the producers for your order.  If you require a next day, or fast turn around please do contact us and we can confirm the stock we have available to deliver your gift.

Standard Delivery

Standard delivery is between Tuesday - Friday 9am-5pm.  To ensure freshness and to keep to the high standard expected from all our foods, we do not usually deliver on a Monday.  There are Saturday deliveries available, however there is an additional cost for this service.  Please contact us on 01892 890690 if you wish to discuss this option.

What are the Postage & Packaging costs?

FREE DELIVERY FOR ORDERS OVER £100 to mainland UK, on a standard delivery service.

Orders under £100 are as follows:

Temperature Controlled Delivery (for chilled items) England, Wales and Scotland (excl. Scottish Highlands and Islands):

  • 9am-5pm £7.95
  • Before Midday: £11.50
  • Before 10am: £13.95

Temperature Controlled Delivery (for chilled items) Scottish Highlands and Islands, Channel Islands:

  • 9am-5pm: £16.50 (delivery takes 2 working days)

Temperature Controlled Delivery (for chilled items) Isle of Man, Northern Ireland & Republic of Ireland:

  • 9am-5pm: £19.95 (delivery takes 1-2 working days)

This cost includes overnight delivery via a courier company, and also covers the chilled packaging, ice packs and recyclable filling (to ensure your parcel arrives in the best condition).

What happens when you have placed your order? 

You will receive an email confirming your purchase.  A second email will then be sent confirming your delivery date.

Delivery Date Requests

If you have a delivery date request this can be placed in the Order Comments box on the checkout page, we will do our very best to fulfill your request. (Please note STANDARD DELIVERY is TUESDAY to FRIDAY (9am-5pm), however timed delivery options are available.

General Delivery Information

We deliver usually within a maximum of 5 working days, however in most cases we are able to deliver sooner than this.  Please do request a delivery date if you require delivery on a certain date in the Order Comments box on the checkout page.

Next Day Delivery

We are delighted to offer customers a Next Day Delivery Gift Range.  Order one of the gifts from this range by 1pm, and kindly request next day delivery in the Order Comments box on the checkout page.  

Year-Round Fresh Delivery Guide...

If you do not have a specific delivery date request, the table below is a guide for fresh goods, as items such as Fresh Meat or Pork Pies are prepared fresh for your order.  Due to the nature of artisan produce, these dates may change. You will be informed by email of your delivery date.

Specific Delivery Dates

If you require a specific delivery date simply write the date you would like into the 'Order Comments' box on the checkout page and we will do our upmost to fulfil your request, provided it is between Tuesday - Friday.  Please note we do not dispatch fresh goods over the weekend for delivery on Monday.

Can I have a Saturday delivery?

Yes, we can offer a Saturday delivery for a £5 supplement. This is a direct cost charged to us from Parcelforce.

Why do you not deliver on Mondays?

We don’t deliver on Mondays because we will not compromise the quality of the product by leaving your parcel in a delivery warehouse over the weekend.  Our deliveries are temperature-controlled and we intend for your order to arrive in the condition in which it was made.

Temperature Controlled Chilled Packaging

All food and hamper orders are packaged in chilled temperature-controlled boxes with bespoke linings and cold gel packs to ensure that your food arrives at the optimum chilled temperature for your enjoyment.  Following extensive testing, our packaging has been certified to maintain food at fridge temperature for 48 hours.

Can I recycle the packaging?

Yes.  In line with our aim of minimizing our impact on the environment and reducing food miles with our ‘one order, one delivery’ policy, our packaging is manufactured from closed cell non-cross linked polyethylene, a material that is fully recyclable; already 60% recycled and fully reusable.  The void fill chips are called ‘biofill’ and are made from natural starch, are 100% biodegradable, compostable, and we are told are the secret weapon of fly fishermen!  Please do recycle the cardboard outer box.  Please re-use the ice packs for your own picnics. The ice packs are filled with purified and distilled water so can be opened and poured down the drain; the plastic can then be recycled.

Who will deliver?

All deliveries are sent via overnight courier by APC/Parcelforce.  When we send you the email confirming despatch, we will add these details.

Can you deliver to my workplace?


Do you offer a timed delivery?

Yes.  Before 10am and before midday.  For our 'before 10am' service with Parcelforce, the cost will be £11.95 for up to 30kg.  Please note that we are unable to offer a timed service to the Scottish Highlands & Islands, Northern Ireland, Isle of Man, and the Isles of Scilly.

What happens if I’m out when my delivery is attempted?

Parcelforce operate a 'no signature required' delivery scheme.  If you are not in, the driver will attempt to leave the parcel in a safe place or with a neighbour.  If there is not a safe place then it will be taken to the local post office and a card will be left, saying where the delivery is being held.  

Do you offer a next day delivery?

This is often possible, however we work with small, artisan producers who may only deliver on certain days of the week.  Please remember some of the products you order will only be made at your request.
