Founded more than 20 years ago by husband and wife team David and Mandy Reed the Swaledale Cheese Company is based in the picturesque town of Richmond in the Yorkshire Dales. It started very simply with the couple making cheese in the family kitchen but has now progressed to become one of the country's most sought-after quality regional cheese producers.
Each of the varieties is made by hand using traditional methods and slowly matured for maximum flavour. The original cows and ewes milk Swaledale is the only Yorkshire cheese to have protected designation of origin (PDO) from the EU and the whole range of cheeses has enjoyed huge success at national and international shows including new best dairy product at the Nantwich International Cheese Show and gold medals at the British Cheese Awards. 220g
